Kenya is widely considered to be one of the most accessible safari destinations in the world. With Nairobi International Airport located within driving distance of the nearest national park, you can land in the morning and be on safari by the afternoon.
Home to the legendary Maasai Mara National Park as well as other world famous parks including Amboselli and Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, Kenya is the perfect place to see the big 5 in the wild and to witness the Great Migration as it concludes each year.
Kenya is one of those magical destinations that is fantastic all year round. The annual Migration takes place between July and September.
Where in the world?
Kenya is bordered by South Sudan to the northwest, Ethiopia to the north, Somalia to the east, Uganda to the west, Tanzania to the south, and the Indian Ocean to the southeast. Kenya’s climate varies from tropical along the coast to temperate inland to arid in the north and northeast parts of the country. The area receives a great deal of sunshine every month. It is usually cool at night and early in the morning inland at higher elevations.

Day 1
Our representative will meet you on arrival to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and take you on the 20 minute drive to your luxury lodge that borders the Nairobi National Park. All rooms look straight over the river and into the Park.

Day 2
After breakfast you will be transferred to Wilson airport for your short flight to Lewa Conservancy. Lewa Wildlife Conservancy is a private conservancy in Laikipia that is unique in its commitment to conservation of the endangered species that live in the area. In 2013 this conservancy dropped the fence separating it from the neighbouring Borana Conservancy and so expanded the home for over 100 black rhinos and several other highly endangered species.
There are a variety of wonderful lodges on both the Lewa and Borana Conservancies to choose from.

Day 3
Fantastic views of distant mountain ranges and a beautiful backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kenya provide a perfect setting for game drives and bush walks. Lewa Wildlife Conservancy is teeming with birdlife with over 350 species across the diverse topography which includes rolling open plains, hills and kopjes, thick forest, valleys, escarpments, wetlands and rivers. Lewa Wildlife Conservancy has a huge variety of wildlife with over 70 different species of mammal. There are roughly equal numbers of black and white rhino – at the latest count there were 65 black and 46 white. The world’s largest resident population of the endangered Grevy zebra resides on Lewa as well as elephant, buffalo, greater kudu, oryx, lion, leopard and cheetah amongst many other mammal species.

Day 4
Head up further north into Kenya’s deserted northern landscapes. Your accommodation will be an exclusive-use remote camp for only your group. With permanent structures to sleep and dine under and outdoor showers to enjoy the night stars, you will have the comforts of home while still enjoying the benefits of camping out. Spend a day fishing on Lake Turkana to try your hand at catching fish like Nile Perch, Tilapia and Tiger Fish. Take out a quad bike for a high-speed adventure for sundowners or a day excursion and gain access to beautiful, remote areas difficult to reach by car.

Day 5
For a unique cultural experience, opt to visit the local Turkana tribe and immerse yourself in their culture and way of life. Each night you will retire to your comfortable beds in simple and stylistic beauty in the bush.

Day 6
After a morning walk and your last breakfast in camp, take your chartered flight to the Maasai Mara, one of the best-known game reserves in the world.
Your accommodation is perfectly situated on the banks of the Njageteck River in the private Mara North Conservancy, allowing for total privacy and exclusivity. The Ngoyanai springs provide permanent water, drawing in large numbers of animals to the area around camp. This camp is also particularly known for its resident lion pride which can often been seen hunting right in front of the camp in the daytime and their roaring sounds heard during the night.

Day 7
Take full advantage of the wildlife viewing available to your group with an early morning game drive that ends with breakfast in the bush. Spend the afternoon dining on a gourmet lunch, have an afternoon siesta, and then take a sundowner game drive out to watch the sunset with a gin and tonic in hand. The Maasai Mara has exceptional populations of lions, leopards, cheetahs, and elephants to name a few.

Day 8
Take a picnic lunch and head out for the day in one of our exclusive 4×4 vehicles. If you are lucky enough to visit during the migration, head to the Mara River for a dramatic spectacle of zebra and wildebeest attempting to cross the river. The Great Migration is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa, and is one of the ten Natural Travel Wonders of the World.
July and August are typically when the annual migration occurs, but you can witness spectacular wildlife during any month of the year.

Day 9
Take your onward flight to Nairobi for your connecting flight to Lamu. One of our representatives will be waiting for you and will transfer you by speedboat to your accommodation. You will be staying in a small boutique lodge located on the tip of an unspoilt, idyllic island in Lamu’s archipelago where you kick off your shoes and enjoy simplistic beauty in palm thatched cottages and open living spaces.

Day 10
Spend a morning trying out one of our many watersports including waterskiing, SUP boarding, sailing or snorkeling in the nearby marine park. After a seafood buffet lunch, retire to a hammock with a good book. Head out early evening for a game drive to see the resident herd of buffalo and enjoy a cocktail in our pop up bar overlooking the sea.
The best time of year for fishing and snorkelling is between November – April, but fishing and water activities take place throughout the year.

Day 11
Take a visit to the UNESCO world heritage site of Lamu town. Enjoy a short tour around this fascinating city with its narrow streets immersed in Muslim culture. End the day with a visit to view the nearby Bee-eater birds which migrate to Lamu in great numbers at certain times of the year. After returning to the lodge enjoy a three-course meal on the beach under the stars.

Day 12
Spend your last morning relaxing at the lodge. Enjoy one of the many activities the lodge has to offer before taking a boat back to Lamu airport to catch your flight to Nairobi before connecting with your international flight home.

Reasons to visit
The Maasai Mara
The Maasai Mara has big cats aplenty, and during some months, it is home to huge herds of wildebeest grazing on the sweeping plains on their annual migration.
The Great Rift Valley
The Great Rift Valley is home to glittering lakes, dramatic landscapes, thousands of species of birds as well as the vibrant pink flamingoes that line the shores of Lake Naivasha.
The Laikipia Plateau
The Laikipia plateau, at the foot of Mount Kenya, is another rewarding location for safari. It is home to good populations of rhino, elephant and a wide variety of safari activities ranging from horse-riding, walking, mountain biking and walking with camels.
Samburu and Northern Kenya
Savannah plains and lush mountain slopes are home to elephant, leopard, reticulated giraffe, wild dog and kudu in ever increasing numbers. The local Samburu people whose age-old traditions include the famous ‘singing wells’ are as much a part of the fabric of this land as the wildlife.
