ANDY ROBERTS | PRIVATE GUIDE

Andy grew up in Kenya, is a founder and Director of The Safari and Conservation Company. He is a commercial pilot and has guided safaris around Kenya for over 30 years. With a good understanding of the country and the perils that face our wildlife, coupled with a strong sense of humour and a zest for life, going on safari with Andy is always an education as well as great fun. He was on the winning team that set the Guinness book of records for the most number of birds seen in 24 hours in 1986 with Terry Stephenson and John Fanshawe. A record which still holds today.

FUZZ DYER | PRIVATE GUIDE

Fuzz is a third generation Kenyan who grew up on the slopes of Mount Kenya on his family farms - Kisima, Borana and Ngare Ndare. Fuzz runs and hosts his own exclusive camp on Borana Conservancy. Fuzz is passionate about conservation and is actively involved in finding conservation solutions for private land owners. 

BIMBI DYER | HOST

Bimbi is a third generation Kenya who grew up on sheep farm in Kipkabus, in Western Kenya. In 1976 her family emigrated to Andalucia in Spain from where Bimbi went to finish her education in the UK and stayed on to work in London until 1989. Fuzz and Bimbi ran Borana Lodge for five years before moving to Lamu in 2005 to develop their own tourism venture at Manda Bay. Bimbi hosts at Fuzz’s Camp, as well as keeping her own stables for riding on Borana Conservancy for guests of all ages and abilities.

CARAGH ROBERTS | SAFARI SPECIALIST

Caragh is a third generation Kenyan who grew up on a dairy and coffee farm bought by her grandfather in 1919. As a young girl she worked as a camp helper at Wilderness Trails on Lewa Downs in the 80’s to running mobile camps, and lodges before moving to Uganda and finally setting up and running Manda Bay with partners Fuzz and Bimbi Dyer in Lamu. Caragh now helps with planning, marketing and organising safaris within East Africa.

VALERIE KEMMEY | FINANCE

Valerie is a highly experienced finance professional, a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants UK and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya with a double major Degree in Accounting and Finance. She has worked in financial management and ecotourism since 2005. Valerie joined the Safari and Conservation Company in 2009 as is the Financial Manager.

DAMARIS CHEPSIROR | RESERVATIONS

Damaris holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism Management and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, having served as a Tour Consultant for 11 years before joining SCC in 2024. She also has previously worked with the conservation-focused company, Kenya Wildlife Services. Her career has been founded on efficiency, delivery of quality service, ethical practice, and maintenance of highest standards.

ALICE MWAURA | TOURING & GROUND HANDLING

Alice is a certified accountant and secretary. She had experience in the finance departments of two other touring companies before joining SCC in 2009. She originally started in the finance department but quickly took on a role in touring. She currently manages all the ground handling and designs itineraries for prospective clients.

LILLIAN MWANGI | MANDA BAY RESERVATIONS

Lillian joined the SCC family in 2019 and has embraced her role with enthusiasm and dedication. Starting as a receptionist, she holds a diploma in customer service and expertly manages the front office and reservations desk for Manda Bay Lodge. With a passion for travel, Lillian is committed to ensuring that every guest enjoys a seamless experience, from handling reservations to assisting with inbound flights. Her positive energy and strong focus on customer satisfaction make her an invaluable part of the team.

EMERI DYER | MARKETING & SAFARI SPECIALIST

Emeri joined SCC with Safari Consulting and Marketing roles, after a career as a publicist in luxury hospitality at one of the world’s leading public relations firms. Originally from San Diego, California, she relocated to Kenya years ago to manage a safari lodge in Northern Kenya. Emeri is married to Fuzz and Bimbi’s son, Harry Dyer.

KERRY ROBERTS | SOCIALS & MEDIA MANAGER

Kerry joined the SCC team in 2024. She has a background in photography, digital marketing and filmmaking and creates content for SCC alongside her role as our social and media manager.
